Starry Night...
I love the teacher Marcella got for third grade, and again this year for fourth grade.
Mrs. Wilson thinks it's important for kids to learn about, and learn to appreciate, art.
So every week they have a different artist whose life they study, and then they have "art time"
during which they reproduce their own interpretation of one of that artist's most famous
works. This was Marcella's interpretation of Van Gogh's "Starry Night"
One of my newest most treasured things Marcella has ever done is the book of her art the
teacher put together last year. This was a big project all of the class did,
called "My Book of Artists". Mrs. Wilson took all the art projects the kids had done from
each artist, put them in a big spiral-bound paper book, and then laminated the covers. This
is the coolest thing I've ever seen any teacher do!

Watercolors...
Marcella's favorite medium is usually watercolors, when I'm in a mood to
not mind the mess. She's got a good sense of color, I think.

Marcella gets to blog her art...
Since "Uncle" Ed is such a nice guy. Don't worry, I'm not going to bore
everyone to death with my kid's art. But, sometimes she's such an amazing
artist, I have to share at least SOME of it with you. And always remember,
you don't HAVE to look at every single one!
